Jewelry Instructor and Designer

My lifelong love of making things led me to pursue many crafts over the years. I enjoy sewing, embroidery, quilting, beading and glass fusing. I designed a house that my mother had built for herself.

As a corporate instructor I taught management and professional courses. When I retired in 1995, I decided to do something different. That led me to complete 30 units of metalsmithing at El Camino College. You can see some of my work on my Traditional Gallery page.

Then I discovered Metal Clay. I fell in love with the free form nature of the clay. Being able to work quickly unleashed my creativity.

After completing several Certification programs in Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and Art Clay, I started teaching in 2001. I enjoy teaching and find it especially gratifying when students make something they love. You can see some of their work in the Student Gallery.

Member of the Metal Arts Society of Southern California and co-founder of the Los Angeles chapter of New Metal Artists.
